A Sweet Monday Send-Off at the Morningside Inn

Sometimes, the most memorable weddings aren’t the ones on Saturdays—they’re the ones that break the mold. Jasmine and Jason’s wedding at the Morningside Inn in Frederick, MD, was exactly that: a beautiful, unordinary Monday celebration that felt like the perfect send-off to summer and a warm welcome to fall.

This bride poured so much of herself into DIY touches, and every detail radiated sweetness and personality. From handmade decor to personal flourishes, it was clear how much thought went into making their day intimate and special. But what I loved most? The beautiful blending of their multicultural families and friend groups. Seeing everyone come together, celebrating love across cultures, made the day feel so alive and genuine.

My favorite moment came later in the day: after the formalities and dinner, I convinced Jasmine and Jason to hop in my car for a spontaneous drive. We chased the golden sunset down a nearby road lined with cornfields, capturing the kind of warm, golden light that makes memories feel timeless. Those images—playful, romantic, and unplanned—perfectly mirrored the joy and adventure of their day.

The Morningside Inn delivered a flawless backdrop and incredible food that kept everyone happy and energized.

Jasmine and Jason’s wedding reminded me that a perfect day doesn’t have to follow the usual rules. Sometimes, the beauty is in the unexpected moments, the personal touches, and the love that brings everyone together.
